Non-profit agencies, schools, and state agencies in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties may apply for Intermountain AmeriCorps volunteers to serve at their sites September-July of each year. Please note that host site placements for the 2011-12 service term are contingent upon our program receving state and federal funding from AmeriCorps. Read through the options below to determine what may fit your needs best.
Any elementary school in Washington State may apply to be a Reading Corps school. The program provides 1-5 full-time AmeriCorps volunteers to tutor students who are behind in Reading. Schools will be asked to provide a $3,000 cash match per member per year.

The Early Learning program provides full-time AmeriCorps members to not-for-profit preschools in the state of Washington to provide pre-literacy activities to students ages birth-5. Sites will be asked to provide a $3,000 cash match per member per year.

Any school, non-profit community-based organization, or government agency may apply for SET members to support preschool through adult students in education-based programs. A cash match of $5,800.00 per year is required to sponsor a SET volunteer.
