What is the Intermountain AmeriCorps Alumni Organizaton?

The Intermountain AmeriCorps Alumni Organization is an effort by current Intermountain staff to keep past members and staff connected to each other and also to our organization. Just because your term of service or time working with Intermountain is done, we don't want you to lose touch with the many relationships and experiences you had during your time with Intermountain AmeriCorps.

There are many directions in which we would love to see this alumni organization go. In the future we hope to organize reunions, create ways for alumni to donate to programs, alumni quarterly newsletters, bulletin boards and hopefully much more!

How do I become a part of the IMAC Alumni Organization?

It is very easy to become a part of the IMAC Alumni Organization! Simply email us at imac@intermountainac.com or give us a call at 509-662-6156 and let us know that you are interested in becoming part of the alumni community! In your email please include the following information:

How can I connect with past IMAC members?

As we would love to provide member with a web community on our site, at this time it is not possible. For the time being you can get connected to other members and staff by joining the Friendster.com or MySpace.com communities.

We have set up a profile on MySpace.com and Friendster.com and all you need to do is sign up (FREE) at www.friendster.com and/or www.myspace.com. You will be asked to fill out a profile about yourself (you don't need to fill in all areas if you do not want to and you can limit who can view your profile in the account settings section) and then once you have done that you can go to the "Add Friends" link or do a search for "Intermountain AmeriCorps" and enter in this email address to get connected to the IMAC Community:

How can I help promote IMAC in my community?

Help us promote Intermountain AmeriCorps in your community! Are you interested in helping spread the word about Intermountain AmeriCorps? There are two easy ways to help lend us a hand...

1) WOM - The good old fashion promotional tool of "Word of Mouth". Know of anyone who may be a good applicant? Have them contact us! Keep talking about your experience with Intermountain and the time you spent with us!

2) Recruitment Poster - The other way you can assist us is by putting up our recruitment posters around your communities. Below are links to two of our recruitment posters. Feel free to print up a few posters and hang them up around your current communities! If you have no way to print up posters but would be willing to hang some up around your communities, drop us an email to let us know you would like to help out and we will send you poster via mail.

Click on an image to open the poster you wish to print. Let us know if you have problems accessing these posters. Both posters will translate fine in black and white ink as well...no need to do color if you do not have the means!
