| Intermountain AmeriCorps is a part of a national service movement striving to rebuild communities while broadening educational and life skills opportunities for citizens. AmeriCorps offers opportunities for Americans to make a substantial commitment to serve their country, mobilizing at the local level to build a national movement for positive change.
Intermountain AmeriCorps has served rural school districts and community agencies in North Central Washington state since 1993. AmeriCorps Members strive to meet the needs of youth and expand coordination between school districts, community members, and other social service and community agencies.
Intermountain AmeriCorps operates three different projects: the Service and Education Team, Reading Corps, and VISTA. Each project has its own special focus, but all work together to seek creative ways to improve student learning and help communities meet the needs of students and families.
